Madeline is one of 7 who all live in the same small house, her father is in the USA working and the family lives for a large part with his remittances. She feels that she is the closest to her mother and helps her in the house. The trip to school takes 40 minutes with a changes of buses and is a financial expense they need to consider. She enjoys the school and the close companionship and friendships she has developed. So far she is not clear about what she wants to do once she graduates.
